Los populares proponen <strong>eliminar el c\u00e9sped artificial e introducir vegetaci\u00f3n natural<\/strong> con el objetivo de recuperar el papel protagonista en la ciudad de la plaza as\u00ed como garantizar la seguridad de los usuarios.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Desde el PP destacan que con la actuaci\u00f3n realizada en 2018, e<strong>l Gobierno Municipal\u00a0 elimin\u00f3 la vegetaci\u00f3n natural que hist\u00f3ricamente hab\u00eda destacado en la Plaza<\/strong> sustituy\u00e9ndola por c\u00e9sped sint\u00e9tico. El resultado, dicen, se traduce en que una de las escasas zonas ajardinadas del Centro de Alcoy<strong> presenta un aspecto artificial<\/strong>, con un tratamiento poco acorde con la declaraci\u00f3n de Conjunto Hist\u00f3rico Art\u00edstico que la zona obtuvo en 1982 &#8220;<em>no es de recibo que una plaza dedicada a un pintor ilustre como Antonio Gisbert (Alcoy, 1834-Par\u00eds, 1901), que fue director del Museo del Prado entre 1868 y 1873 y uno de los referentes de la pintura hist\u00f3rica espa\u00f1ola del siglo XIX, est\u00e9 ornamentada con una moqueta verde, que adem\u00e1s es de mala calidad<\/em>&#8220;, afirma la edil <strong>Amalia Pay\u00e0<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Finalmente destacan que la reforma de la Plaza <strong>incluy\u00f3 la instalaci\u00f3n de unas barreras de metal<\/strong>, con aristas afiladas, para delimitar el espacio del c\u00e9sped artificial con las zonas donde hab\u00edan flores debido a que fue colocado sin rebajar la altura de las antiguas zonas ajardinadas. Estas barreras met\u00e1licas <strong>provocaron accidentes<\/strong> con heridas por cortes.
