La organizaci\u00f3n y los asistentes <strong>han valorado muy positivamente<\/strong> el congreso en su conjunto, tanto la parte cient\u00edfica como la sociocultural. Del 3 al 6 de septiembre, Alcoy se ha convertido en el <strong>epicentro de la estad\u00edstica<\/strong> con <strong>400 profesionales<\/strong> procedentes de Alemania, EEUU, Italia, Espa\u00f1a o pa\u00edses de Sudam\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El congreso tambi\u00e9n ha sido especial por <strong>el homenaje<\/strong> que ha recibido <strong>Marco Antonio L\u00f3pez<\/strong>. El profesor em\u00e9rito <strong>es natural de Alcoy<\/strong> y ha sido homenajeado, especialmente, por parte de los Grupos de Trabajo de Optimizaci\u00f3n Continua y Teor\u00eda de Juegos. Marco Antonio L\u00f3pez ha firmado en el <strong>Libro de Oro de la Escuela Polit\u00e9cnica Superior de Alcoy (EPSA)<\/strong>. Entre otras palabras ha escrito: &#8220;<em>Quiero manifestar mi profundo agradecimiento a la Escuela Polit\u00e9cnica Superior de Alcoy en la figura de su director por el excelente trato que se me ha dispensado. Pero mucho m\u00e1s relevante es dignificar la extraordinaria organizaci\u00f3n de este congreso de la SEIO en 2019, destacando la perfecta coordinaci\u00f3n y programaci\u00f3n de las sesiones cient\u00edficas, y la creaci\u00f3n de un ambiente social id\u00f3neo que ha contribuido a la consecuci\u00f3n de los objetivos del congreso&#8221;. <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Otra de<strong> las personalidades<\/strong> que ha firmado en el Libro de Oro de la EPSA ha sido el <strong>Catedr\u00e1tico de la Universidad Carlos III<\/strong>, <strong>Daniel Pe\u00f1a<\/strong>, quien ha impartido la ponencia <strong>&#8216;Ciencia de los datos, Big data y estad\u00edstica&#8217;<\/strong>. El catedr\u00e1tico ha escrito, entre otras palabras: <em>&#8220;he podido conocer el Campus de Alcoy de la UPV por la celebraci\u00f3n del congreso aqu\u00ed de la Sociedad Espa\u00f1ola de Estad\u00edstica e Investigaci\u00f3n Operativa, organizado por el excelente grupo de este campus. Me ha impresionado la historia de Alcoy que he tenido la oportunidad de conocer aqu\u00ed&#8221;&#8230; &#8220;Estoy seguro que este campus ser\u00e1 fundamental para el futuro de Alcoy, creando conocimiento que impulse un nuevo florecer de la ciudad y proyectado hacia el futuro de desarrollo y equilibrio social&#8221;. <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Desde el comit\u00e9 cient\u00edfico, la co-presidenta <strong>Eva Vallada<\/strong>, indica que el congreso <em>&#8220;poco a poco va adquiriendo un car\u00e1cter internacional&#8221;\u00a0<\/em>y adem\u00e1s aborda <strong>un espectro amplio<\/strong>, ya que las ponencias plenarias se han centrado en campos como la estad\u00edstica p\u00fablica, investigaci\u00f3n operativa o la estad\u00edstica. Adem\u00e1s de las 3 conferencias plenarias, <strong>el comit\u00e9 cient\u00edfico ha recibido 310 trabajos distribuidos en 86 sesiones paralelas<\/strong>, impartidas en 7 aulas. Todos los trabajos y res\u00famenes <strong>se publicar\u00e1n en un Libro de Actas con ISBN<\/strong>. Este libro no estar\u00e1 disponible en formato f\u00edsico ya que, seg\u00fan la organizaci\u00f3n &#8220;<em>han querido ahorrar costes econ\u00f3micos y medioambientales<\/em>&#8220;. Estar\u00e1 disponible en <strong>la web seio2019.com<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Repercusi\u00f3n en la ciudad y el entorno<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A pesar de no ser capital de provincia, el congreso de Alcoy <strong>ha tenido gran afluencia de profesionales<\/strong>.\u00a0 La mayor\u00eda de aspectos organizativos se han preparado <strong>con mucho tiempo de antelaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, pr\u00e1cticamente desde hace un a\u00f1o. El congreso <strong>ha tenido repercusi\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica en Alcoy y su entorno<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Elena P\u00e9rez<\/strong>, co-presidenta del Comit\u00e9 Organizador, indica que los asistentes &#8220;<em>han llenado todos los hoteles y apartamentos tur\u00edsticos de Alcoy, y algunos profesionales han tenido que pernoctar en hoteles de otras localidades. Algunos asistentes tambi\u00e9n se han alojado en el Colegio Mayor Ovidi Montllor&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El encuentro <strong>ha estado organizado<\/strong> por la Sociedad de Estad\u00edstica e Investigaci\u00f3n Operativa (SEIO), la UPV, el Departamento de Estad\u00edstica e Investigaci\u00f3n Operativa Aplicadas y Calidad de la UPV, y el Instituto Nacional de Estad\u00edstica (INE). Los patrocinadores han sido el Ajuntament d&#8217;Alcoi, Uni\u00f3n Alcoyana Seguros, Colegio Mayor Ovidi Montllor, Hotel Reconquista, Sercotel Ciutat d&#8217;Alcoi y Aceitunas Serpis. Novaterra catering sostenible y Hostal Savoy tambi\u00e9n han colaborado en el evento.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Un gran n\u00famero de profesores del campus junto con 10 &#8216;servipolis&#8217;, trabajando como personal de apoyo, tambi\u00e9n <strong>han ayudado<\/strong> a la organizaci\u00f3n del congreso.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Programa cultural y social<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las <strong>visitas guiadas y la &#8216;inmersi\u00f3n&#8217; en las fiestas de Moros y Cristianos<\/strong> tambi\u00e9n ha sido parte importante del congreso.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los 400 profesionales\u00a0han asistido a <strong>las rutas guiadas en el Parque Natural de la Font Roja y a la del &#8216;Alcoy Modernista&#8217;<\/strong>. Seg\u00fan el comit\u00e9 organizador, <em>&#8220;muchos de los asistentes se plantean visitar Alcoy en familia despu\u00e9s de haber participado en el congreso&#8221;<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los asistentes, despu\u00e9s de haber pasado por Alcoy, aseguran que es <em>&#8220;una ciudad muy bonita<\/em>&#8221; y han quedado muy sorprendidos por el campus. <strong>Elena P\u00e9rez<\/strong>indica que <em>&#8220;nosotros estamos acostumbrados a estos edificios, pero las personas que vienen de fuera quedan sorprendidas de c\u00f3mo dos edificios hist\u00f3ricos han podido ser reconvertidos en campus&#8221;. <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Uno de los momentos que m\u00e1s recordar\u00e1n ser\u00e1 <strong>el &#8216;ensayo&#8217; festero celebrado en la Fil\u00e0 Guzmanes<\/strong>. C\u00f3mo curiosidad, uno de los asistentes al congreso, <strong>Rub\u00e9n Mullor<\/strong>, fue <strong>Embajador Moro del 2003 al 2012<\/strong> en las Fiestas de Alcoy. Aprovech\u00f3 el &#8216;ensayo&#8217; festero para revivir este momento y <strong>represent\u00f3\u00a0 el acto de la Embajada<\/strong>.
