El n\u00famero de profesionales inscritos se sit\u00faa <strong>cerca de los 400<\/strong>. Este encuentro tambi\u00e9n acoge las XII Jornadas de Estad\u00edstica P\u00fablica y <strong>est\u00e1 organizado<\/strong> por la Sociedad e Estad\u00edstica e Investigaci\u00f3n Operativa (SEIO), la UPV, el Departamento de Estad\u00edstica e Investigaci\u00f3n Operativa Aplicadas y Calidad de la UPV, y el Instituto Nacional de Estad\u00edstica (INE).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Este congreso se organiza <strong>cada a\u00f1o y medio<\/strong>, y por primera vez en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os se desarrolla <strong>en una ciudad no capital de provincia<\/strong> como es Alcoy. En la inauguraci\u00f3n del congreso han participado el director del Campus de Alcoy de la UPV,<strong> Juan Ignacio Torregrosa<\/strong>; la presidenta del Comit\u00e9 Organizador, <strong>Elena P\u00e9rez<\/strong>; el presidente de la SEIO, <strong>Emilio Carrizosa<\/strong>; la directora general de Ciencia e Investigaci\u00f3n de la Generalitat Valenciana, <strong>Carmen Bevi\u00e1<\/strong>; y el alcalde de Alcoy, <strong>Toni Franc\u00e9s<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Durante los 4 d\u00edas de Congreso, se impartir\u00e1n <strong>3 conferencias plenarias y m\u00e1s de 50 sesiones paralelas<\/strong> que versar\u00e1n sobre temas como\u00a0 <strong>la investigaci\u00f3n operativa o la estad\u00edstica p\u00fablica<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La primera de las &#8216;plenarias&#8217; ser\u00e1 impartida por <strong>Ana Paula Barbosa-P\u00f3voa<\/strong>, de la Universidade de Lisboa, con el t\u00edtulo <strong>&#8216;Challenges and Perspectives in Sustainable Supply Chain&#8217;<\/strong>. Tambi\u00e9n el mi\u00e9rcoles 4 de septiembre, <strong>Daniel Pe\u00f1a S\u00e1nchez de Rivera<\/strong>, de la Universidad Carlos III, hablar\u00e1 sobre <strong>&#8216;Ciencias de los datos, Big Data y Estad\u00edstica&#8217;<\/strong>.
