Los actos <strong>comenzaron el d\u00eda 25 de julio<\/strong>, festividad de San Jaime Ap\u00f3stol,\u00a0 con una misa solemne en su honor en la iglesia de Santa Mar\u00eda y en la que tambi\u00e9n se tuvo un especial recuerdo a los difuntos de la barriada. Seguidamente <strong>en la tarde del viernes 27 de julio<\/strong>, arranc\u00f3 <strong>el grueso de la programaci\u00f3n festiva<\/strong> con juegos de agua para los m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os as\u00ed como una gran merienda en la que los mismos ni\u00f1os fueron los protagonistas. La jornada finaliz\u00f3 con una cena al aire libre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ya <strong>el s\u00e1bado 28 de julio<\/strong> se efectu\u00f3 una <em>despert\u00e0 <\/em>a primera hora de la ma\u00f1ana, en la que no faltaron los truenos, seguida de un almuerzo popular que sirvi\u00f3 para abrir boca de cara a la gran paella que se cocin\u00f3 al mediod\u00eda. La tarde del <strong>d\u00eda central de las fiesta<\/strong>s estuvo reservada para la inauguraci\u00f3n de una exposici\u00f3n de fotos antiguas, una partida de Pilota Valenciana y una nueva merienda con car\u00e1cter infantil. Por \u00faltimo, a las diez de la noche,<strong> se celebr\u00f3 una cena popular<\/strong> que incluy\u00f3 una fiesta tem\u00e1tica<strong> ambientada en la l\u00ednea de tren Alcoy \u2013 Gandia<\/strong> ya que la misma discurr\u00eda por parte del barrio hasta su desaparici\u00f3n en los a\u00f1os sesenta al mismo tiempo que la Estaci\u00f3n de Cocentaina estaba ubicada en este punto de la Villa Condal.
