La distinci\u00f3n, <strong>concedida a t\u00edtulo p\u00f3stumo<\/strong>, llega en el a\u00f1o del centenario del nacimiento del homenajeado y se hizo efectiva precisamente el d\u00eda en el que se cumpl\u00edan <strong>37 a\u00f1os de su fallecimiento<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Todos los grupos pol\u00edticos representados en la Corporaci\u00f3n Municipal contestana respaldaron por unanimidad el nombramiento y, antes de la votaci\u00f3n, el concejal de Fiestas, <strong>Javier Sansalvador<\/strong>, repas\u00f3 algunos de los aspectos m\u00e1s relevantes de la biograf\u00eda de Antonio Borr\u00e0s P\u00e9rez. Posteriormente intervinieron los portavoces del Partido Popular y de VOX, <strong>Borja Jornet y Victoria Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, quienes destacaron la importancia de que \u2018Tonico\u2019 pasara a ser Hijo Predilecto de la localidad por su aportaci\u00f3n a diferentes \u00e1mbitos de la sociedad contestana, especialmente a las <strong>Fiestas de Moros y Cristianos o al comercio<\/strong>, &#8220;<em>y por haber trabajado siempre por y para su pueblo&#8221;<\/em>, comentaron.\u00a0Tras ratificarse el nombramiento, tomaron la palabra <strong>Mateo Tom\u00e0s Monter<\/strong>, biznieto mayor de Antonio Borr\u00e0s; <strong>P\u00f2lit Borr\u00e0s i Cant\u00f3<\/strong>, nieto de \u2018Tonico\u2019; y su hijo <strong>Hip\u00f2lit Borr\u00e0s Mart\u00ednez<\/strong>. Todos ellos compartieron recuerdos y vivencias sobre Antonio Borr\u00e0s P\u00e9rez y su esposa, Carmen, adem\u00e1s de agradecer las numerosas adhesiones recibidas para hacer realidad la propuesta de concederle el t\u00edtulo de Hijo Predilecto. El alcalde de Cocentaina, <strong>Rub\u00e9n Mu\u00f1oz<\/strong>, cerr\u00f3 las intervenciones destacando que el homenaje era &#8220;<em>m\u00e1s que merecido&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0y traslad\u00f3 su felicitaci\u00f3n a toda la familia en una jornada especialmente emotiva. Por su parte, <strong>Hip\u00f2lit y Mari Carmen Borr\u00e0s<\/strong>, hijos de \u2018Tonico\u2019, pusieron en valor el significado de la distinci\u00f3n &#8220;<em>con el acto de hoy se cierra un ciclo que comenz\u00f3 el 23 de junio de 1989, con el homenaje que se le hizo en el Hotel Od\u00f3n meses antes de fallecer, y estamos seguros de que tanto \u00e9l como mi madre estar\u00e1n orgullosos de ver el aprecio que les tiene Cocentaina&#8221;, <\/em>indicaron a los micr\u00f3fonos de COPE ALCOY.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La jornada <strong>concluy\u00f3 con una visita a la Casa del Fester<\/strong>, donde los familiares entregaron a la instituci\u00f3n festera un ajedrez que perteneci\u00f3 a Antonio Borr\u00e0s. Tras formalizarse la cesi\u00f3n, <strong>los asistentes disfrutaron de un \u00e1gape a las puertas de Mercer\u00eda Borr\u00e0s<\/strong>, el establecimiento familiar en el que \u2018Tonico\u2019 desarroll\u00f3 su actividad profesional y donde tambi\u00e9n crecieron sus nietas, <strong>Mariola y Carmina Monter Borr\u00e0s<\/strong>.
