La actuaci\u00f3n se produjo durante uno de los controles establecidos en la localidad coincidiendo con las recientes <strong data-start=\"545\" data-end=\"609\">Fiestas de Moros y Cristianos en honor a San Hip\u00f3lito M\u00e1rtir<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"612\" data-end=\"1047\">Los agentes se encontraban realizando un dispositivo de vigilancia de veh\u00edculos y personas destinado a <strong data-start=\"715\" data-end=\"776\">reforzar la seguridad ciudadana durante las celebraciones<\/strong> cuando dieron el alto a un autom\u00f3vil que despert\u00f3 sus sospechas. La actitud del conductor llev\u00f3 a los efectivos a comprobar los elementos que transportaba y fue entonces cuando localizaron en el maletero <strong data-start=\"981\" data-end=\"1046\">una importante cantidad de bolsas que conten\u00edan tabaco picado<\/strong>. Cabe destacar que la mercanc\u00eda fue trasladada posteriormente a dependencias oficiales para proceder a su identificaci\u00f3n y pesaje. Las comprobaciones permitieron determinar que se trataba de <strong data-start=\"1221\" data-end=\"1285\">60 kilogramos de picadura de tabaco de procedencia irregular<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1288\" data-end=\"1536\">El conductor, un hombre de <strong data-start=\"1315\" data-end=\"1326\">48 a\u00f1os<\/strong>, ha sido denunciado por una presunta infracci\u00f3n de la <strong data-start=\"1381\" data-end=\"1434\">Ley Org\u00e1nica 12\/1995 de Represi\u00f3n del Contrabando<\/strong>, relacionada con la tenencia, circulaci\u00f3n y posible comercializaci\u00f3n irregular de g\u00e9neros estancados. Esta infracci\u00f3n puede acarrear <strong data-start=\"1567\" data-end=\"1604\">sanciones a partir de 2.000 euros<\/strong>, una cuant\u00eda que puede incrementarse considerablemente en funci\u00f3n del valor de la mercanc\u00eda intervenida.
