Todo ello debido a que <strong>el 1 de abril cae en plena Semana Santa<\/strong>, Mi\u00e9rcoles Santo, siendo esta una jornada en la que tienen lugar procesiones por las calles del Centro de la ciudad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ante esto, el Ayuntamiento de Alcoy y la Asociaci\u00f3n de San Jorge decidieron adelantar el acto a hoy y el hecho de que fuera s\u00e1bado <strong>ha propiciado que la Plaza de Espa\u00f1a estuviera repleta de p\u00fablico\u00a0al filo de las nueve de la noche<\/strong>. Ha sido a esa hora cuando las luces del c\u00e9ntrico enclave se han apagado y se ha procedido a levantar la cortina por parte del alcalde en ausencia del Sant Jordiet 2026, Mateo Vilaplana Blaack, debido a que reside en el Reino Unido y no ha podido estar hoy en Alcoy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El descubrimiento del cartel ha estado acompa\u00f1ado por <strong>la interpretaci\u00f3n del Himno de Fiestas<\/strong>, a cargo de la Uni\u00f3n Musical de Alcoy, y por <strong>el lanzamiento de miles de papeles de colores<\/strong> en alusi\u00f3n a la obra que anuncia la trilog\u00eda del 2026. La citada pieza es el resultado de un proyecto colaborativo y participativo impulsado por el estudio cooperativo La Taula que ha sorprendido y mucho &#8220;<em>aparece San Jorge, en el a\u00f1o del 750 aniversario de su patronazgo, pero tambi\u00e9n todos los elementos que dan forma a una gran Fiesta como la de Alcoy. Todo ello se ha plasmado tras un exhaustivo trabajo en el que hemos recogido las opiniones de muchas personas y colectivos, que nos han aportado su visi\u00f3n sobre las Fiestas de Moros y Cristianos. Es una explosi\u00f3n de Fiesta y de color con homenaje a las artes gr\u00e1ficas<\/em>&#8220;, explic\u00f3 <strong>Hazael Rico<\/strong>; integrante de <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lataula.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>La Taula<\/strong><\/a><\/span>.\u00a0La jornada ha tenido un componente emotivo y muy significativo <strong>ya que esta semana fallec\u00eda repentinamente Abel Flores a la edad de 34 a\u00f1os<\/strong>, uno de los componentes de La Taula. Sus compa\u00f1eros, visiblemente emocionados, han tenido muy presente al joven tanto en el acto previo &#8216;Vespra de Abril&#8217; celebrado en el Teatre Calder\u00f3n como durante el descubrimiento del cartel &#8220;<em>sabemos que est\u00e1 aqu\u00ed presente y nos queda el consuelo de que pudo ver el cartel terminado<\/em>&#8220;, dijo entre l\u00e1grimas en los ojos <strong>Pepe Valiente<\/strong>; otro de los componentes de La Taula. Tanto el alcalde, <strong>Toni Franc\u00e9s<\/strong>, como el de Fiestas, <strong>Jordi Mart\u00ednez<\/strong>; felicitaron a los creadores por la ejecuci\u00f3n de este proyecto y destacaron el car\u00e1cter innovador de esta propuesta ya que es la primera vez que numerosas personas a la vez trabajan en el cartel de Fiestas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.copealcoy.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/4-4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-165337 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.copealcoy.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/4-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"715\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El disparo de un <strong>castillo de fuegos artificiales<\/strong> ha acompa\u00f1ado este inicio de la Festa en un a\u00f1o marcado por el 750 aniversario del patronazgo de San Jorge.
