Tambi\u00e9n hemos hablado de <strong>la conmemoraci\u00f3n del 425 aniversario de la elecci\u00f3n de San Hip\u00f3lito M\u00e1rtir como patr\u00f3n de Cocentaina<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cocentaina record\u00f3 ayer mi\u00e9rcoles\u00a0<strong>el 425 aniversario de la elecci\u00f3n de San Hip\u00f3lito M\u00e1rtir<\/strong>\u00a0como patr\u00f3n del municipio. Y es que\u00a0<strong>fue el 7 de mayo de 1600<\/strong>\u00a0cuando los vecinos de la Villa Condal, ante la grave peste que azotaba a la misma, decidieron buscar la intercesi\u00f3n de un patrono que les librara de una situaci\u00f3n tan temida. Cuenta\u00a0<strong>la historia local<\/strong>\u00a0que en el interior de una bolsa se colocaron diversos nombres de santos de devoci\u00f3n popular siendo la mano inocente de un ni\u00f1o la que se encargar\u00eda de extraer el papel en el que iba a figurar qui\u00e9n seria el patr\u00f3n de Cocentaina. Por tres veces se repiti\u00f3 el proceso, saliendo en cada una de ellas San Hip\u00f3lito M\u00e1rtir, y aceptando finalmente el pueblo al m\u00e1rtir como patrono tras manifestar inicialmente su disconformidad afirmando que no conoc\u00edan al santo. D\u00edas despu\u00e9s, el 10 de mayo, se le proclam\u00f3 oficialmente como patr\u00f3n ante las autoridades municipales de la \u00e9poca.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Para conmemorar esta efem\u00e9ride\u00a0<strong>se ha preparado\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.copealcoy.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Actes-7-de-maig.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">una programaci\u00f3n<\/a><\/span>\u00a0de actos especiales<\/strong>, que tienen lugar en este mes de mayo, siendo ayer una de las jornadas m\u00e1s destacadas. A mediod\u00eda\u00a0<strong>sonaron las campanas en todas las iglesias de Cocentaina<\/strong>, recordando al pueblo el dia tan significativo, y por la tarde tuvo lugar\u00a0<strong>la misa mayor<\/strong>\u00a0en acci\u00f3n de gracias a San Hip\u00f3lito tras los 425 a\u00f1os de patronazgo. La parroquia de Santa Mar\u00eda se qued\u00f3 peque\u00f1a durante esta celebraci\u00f3n que\u00a0<strong>presidi\u00f3 el Arzobispo de Valencia<\/strong>\u00a0\u201c<em>San Hip\u00f3lito M\u00e1rtir forma parte de la historia de la Fe de Cocentaina y ver que esa devoci\u00f3n se conserva tan viva, y forma parte de la vida de los contestanos, es un motivo de alegr\u00eda<\/em>\u201c, dijo\u00a0<strong>Don Enrique Benavent<\/strong>\u00a0a los micr\u00f3fonos de COPE ALCOY.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La celebraci\u00f3n incluy\u00f3\u00a0<strong>la presentaci\u00f3n de los reci\u00e9n nacidos a San Hip\u00f3lito M\u00e1rtir<\/strong>\u00a0y\u00a0<strong>la veneraci\u00f3n de la reliquia<\/strong>. Por \u00faltimo, ante la iglesia de Santa Mar\u00eda,\u00a0<strong>se dispararon salvas de arcabucer\u00eda<\/strong>\u00a0con la participaci\u00f3n de dos festeros de cada Fil\u00e0 de Cocentaina portando la indumentaria al completo. Se record\u00f3 as\u00ed u<strong>no de los primeros actos que dan origen a los Moros y Cristianos de la poblaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, los disparos en honor al Santo que abrieron camino siglos atr\u00e1s a lo que son hoy en d\u00eda los festejos que se celebran cada segundo fin de semana de agosto.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hoy jueves hemos destacado la adjudicaci\u00f3n de dos de los principales proyectos que contempla la estrategia AlcoiBioUp!.
