Tambi\u00e9n hemos recordado que la ciudad, con datos provisionales del INE a fecha de 1 de enero de 2025, <strong>supera los 61.000 habitantes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Alcoy\u00a0<strong>sigue mostrando una tendencia positiva en su crecimiento poblacional<\/strong>, con proyecciones que indican que<strong>\u00a0la ciudad alcanza los 61.376 habitantes\u00a0<\/strong>a\u00a0 fecha de 1 de enero de 2025. Este aumento de\u00a0<strong>1.004 personas, respecto a los 60.372 habitantes registrados en enero de 2024,<\/strong>\u00a0marca un hito destacado ya que representa\u00a0<strong>las mejores cifras demogr\u00e1ficas en los \u00faltimos 16 a\u00f1os<\/strong>, despu\u00e9s de los 61.552 habitantes del a\u00f1o 2009.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Desde el Ayuntamiento de Alcoy recuerdan que los mencionados datos\u00a0<strong>son propuestas iniciales del<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u00a0<a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ine.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instituto Nacional de Estad\u00edstica (INE)<\/a><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u00a0<\/span>y las mismas\u00a0<strong>suelen ser ajustadas<\/strong>\u00a0por el mismo consistorio, que presenta alegaciones para corregirlas. En el a\u00f1o anterior, por ejemplo, el INE propuso inicialmente una poblaci\u00f3n de 60.322 habitantes, pero tras la correspondiente revisi\u00f3n, el n\u00famero final se elev\u00f3 a 60.372.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El crecimiento poblacional<strong>\u00a0va de la mano de una mejora notable en el \u00e1mbito laboral<\/strong>. A finales de febrero de 2025,\u00a0<strong>Alcoy contaba con 17.290 trabajadores afiliados a la Seguridad Social<\/strong>\u00a0y\u00a0<strong>un desempleo que ha disminuido considerablemente<\/strong>\u00a0hasta situarse en 4.489 personas, una reducci\u00f3n significativa desde las 7.221 registradas en 2011.\u00a0Adem\u00e1s del crecimiento cuantitativo, Alcoy tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 experimentando un cambio cualitativo en su poblaci\u00f3n. Cada vez\u00a0<strong>m\u00e1s personas con estudios superiores est\u00e1n eligiendo establecerse en la ciudad<\/strong>, atra\u00eddas por su calidad de vida y las oportunidades laborales disponibles. A todo ello se le suma que\u00a0<strong>Alcoy contin\u00faa consolid\u00e1ndose como un importante polo de atracci\u00f3n de estudiantes<\/strong>\u00a0gracias a la oferta formativa del Campus de la UPV, el Campus de la Universidad de Alicante, los centros educativos donde se cursa formaci\u00f3n profesional o l\u2019Escola d\u2019Art i Superior de Disseny\u00a0<em>\u00abestas cifras demuestran que Alcoy es una ciudad cada vez m\u00e1s atractiva para vivir y trabajar. La combinaci\u00f3n de una apuesta por la sostenibilidad, la calidad de vida, las infraestructuras modernas y la educaci\u00f3n superior convierte nuestra ciudad en un referente<\/em>\u00ab, afirma el alcalde; Toni Franc\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Seg\u00fan datos recientes del INE,<strong>\u00a0la proporci\u00f3n de residentes con estudios superiores<\/strong>\u00a0ha aumentado del 11% en 2021 al 14% en 2024, pasando de 6.614 a 8.631 personas. Este incremento tambi\u00e9n<strong>\u00a0ha contribuido a reducir la brecha de g\u00e9nero en el \u00e1mbito acad\u00e9mico<\/strong>; por primera vez,\u00a0<strong>hay m\u00e1s mujeres<\/strong>\u00a0residentes con estudios superiores (4.791) que\u00a0<strong>hombres<\/strong>\u00a0(3.840), representando el 7,73% y el 6,2% de la poblaci\u00f3n total respectivamente.
