Nos ha dejado <strong>a la edad de 62 a\u00f1os<\/strong>, tras una enfermedad que se ha agravado en las \u00faltimas semanas, y su fallecimiento ha causado conmoci\u00f3n en la ciudad durante la ma\u00f1ana de este primero de diciembre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nacido en Salamanca en 1962, <strong>Merch\u00e1n se licenci\u00f3 en Bellas Artes y obtuvo el t\u00edtulo de profesor de Dibujo y Pintura<\/strong> en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Educaci\u00f3n de la Universidad de Salamanca. Su formaci\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica incluy\u00f3 cursos en \u00e1reas como Psicolog\u00eda de la educaci\u00f3n y Did\u00e1ctica especial. A lo largo de su carrera, <strong>particip\u00f3 en numerosas exposiciones individuales y colectivas<\/strong> en diversas ciudades espa\u00f1olas, incluyendo Salamanca, Valencia, La Coru\u00f1a, Ontinyent, Otos y Alcoy. Adem\u00e1s, dedic\u00f3 parte de su vida profesional a la ense\u00f1anza, siendo profesor de dibujo y pintura en las Aulas de la Tercera Edad de Alcoy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fue el autor del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.copealcoy.es\/es\/el-cartel-de-carlos-merchan-lanza-un-grito-a-la-festa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>cartel anunciador de las Fiestas de Moros y Cristianos de Alcoy<\/strong><\/span><\/a> del a\u00f1o 2019 y ocho a\u00f1os antes, en 2011, recibi\u00f3 la misma tarea por parte de la Archicofrad\u00eda de la Virgen de los Lirios para confeccionar<strong> la obra que anuncia la Romer\u00eda a la Font Roja<\/strong>.
