Adem\u00e1s hacemos menci\u00f3n a que <strong>nuestra ciudad tambi\u00e9n celebr\u00f3 Fallas<\/strong> tiempo atr\u00e1s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Alcoy tambi\u00e9n\u00a0<strong>tuvo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iberlibro.com\/arte-grabados\/Poster-FALLAS-ALCOY-Agosto-1936-TORREGROSA\/30990916049\/bd#&amp;gid=1&amp;pid=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">su propia fiesta de Fallas<\/span><\/a><\/strong>\u00a0a pesar de ser esta una tradici\u00f3n que est\u00e1 m\u00e1s arraigada a lo largo y ancho de la provincia de Valencia. Fue en\u00a0<strong>los a\u00f1os treinta del siglo pasado<\/strong>\u00a0y esta costumbre\u00a0<strong>apenas ha llegado hasta nuestros d\u00edas<\/strong>\u00a0quedando tan solo como testimonio\u00a0<strong>la Falla que se quema cada a\u00f1o por San Jos\u00e9 en El Partidor<\/strong>, costumbre que se mantiene viva en la barriada y que viene acompa\u00f1ada de numerosas actividades l\u00fadicas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las Fallas\u00a0<strong>llegaron a Alcoy en 1933 de la mano de Juan Arques Blanes<\/strong>, un dibujante y pintor local que hab\u00eda trabajado unos a\u00f1os en la ciudad de Valencia para diferentes artistas falleros. Seg\u00fan explica\u00a0<strong>Josep Llu\u00eds Santonja<\/strong>, Director de la Red de Bibliotecas alcoyanas, el propio Arques\u00a0<strong>promovi\u00f3 que se plantara una Falla en la Placeta del Carb\u00f3<\/strong>\u00a0y que al mismo tiempo\u00a0<strong>se organizaran diversos actos<\/strong>\u00a0como una verbena, \u2018despertaes\u2019, corridas de toros, tracas, juegos infantiles, adorno de calles e incluso una t\u00f3mbola en La Glorieta. La principal curiosidad de\u00a0<strong>aquellas primeras Fallas de la II Rep\u00fablica<\/strong>\u00a0es que\u00a0<strong>se celebraron en verano<\/strong>\u00a0y de esta forma en la ma\u00f1ana del 30 de junio de 1933, seg\u00fan relatan las cr\u00f3nicas, aparecieron plantados seis monumentos en diferentes zonas de Alcoy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-body__text \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">El\u00a0<strong>apoyo vecinal<\/strong>\u00a0a la nueva Fiesta, seg\u00fan Santonja,\u00a0 llev\u00f3 a<strong>\u00a0organizar una nueva edici\u00f3n apenas una semana despu\u00e9s de \u2018La Crem\u00e0\u2019<\/strong>. En tan solo un mes se constituyeron\u00a0<strong>diez barrios falleros m\u00e1s<\/strong>, se crearon\u00a0<strong>comisiones falleras<\/strong>\u00a0con sus correspondientes bellezas y\u00a0<strong>se acord\u00f3 trasladar el certamen a la festividad de la Virgen del Carmen<\/strong>, concretamente entre los d\u00edas 12 y 15 de julio.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-body__text \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ya un a\u00f1o m\u00e1s tarde,\u00a0<strong>en 1934<\/strong>, saldr\u00eda\u00a0<strong>la Revista El Fallero<\/strong>\u00a0que recog\u00eda toda la actualidad de las Fallas alcoyanas y que \u00a0agot\u00f3 sus cerca de 2.500 ejemplares en tan s\u00f3lo dos d\u00edas. Despu\u00e9s,\u00a0<strong>en 1935<\/strong>, se reorganizaron los barrios falleros y se crearon\u00a0<strong>ocho fallas infantiles<\/strong>. Los alcoyanos pudieron disfrutar de las cr\u00edticas de los monumentos y tambi\u00e9n de\u00a0<strong>un amplio programa de actos<\/strong>\u00a0tanto institucionales com festivos en cada barriada fallera. Aquel a\u00f1o, remarca Josep Llu\u00eds Santonja, llegaron a plantarse monumentos de\u00a0<strong>hasta m\u00e1s de diez metros de altura<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-body__text \" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Para el\u00a0<strong>verano de 1936<\/strong>\u00a0el Ayuntamiento hab\u00eda previsto\u00a0<strong>una ayuda econ\u00f3mica de 4.000 pesetas<\/strong>\u00a0para las Fallas\u00a0\u00a0y\u00a0<strong>la concesi\u00f3n de tres premios a las mejores fallas infantiles<\/strong>. Se crearon nuevos barrios falleros y se prepararon\u00a0<strong>cuidados monumentos<\/strong>\u00a0que\u00a0<strong>jam\u00e1s llegaron a ser plantados<\/strong>\u00a0en las calles de la ciudad a causa del\u00a0<strong>golpe militar del 18 de julio<\/strong>\u00a0que desemboc\u00f3 en la Guerra Civil. Buena parte de las figuras\u00a0<strong>fueron almacenadas<\/strong>\u00a0y\u00a0<strong>terminaron siendo vendidas a Alicante y Valencia<\/strong>\u00a0al finalizar la contienda.
