El primer edil de este municipio del Comtat, que lleva m\u00e1s de cincuenta a\u00f1os en el cargo, <strong>ceder\u00e1 el testigo<\/strong> al que por el momento va a ser <strong>el segundo alcalde m\u00e1s joven<\/strong> de la comarca.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Jos\u00e9 Lu\u00eds Segu\u00ed<\/strong>, vinculado desde siempre al tejido agrario del municipio, <strong>lleg\u00f3 casi por sorpresa a la alcald\u00eda<\/strong> hace cincuenta a\u00f1os. Era el <strong>13 de febrero de 1972<\/strong> cuando, tras una serie de circunstancias, <strong>fueron a buscarle a casa para que aceptara el cargo<\/strong> despu\u00e9s de que su predecesor (Manuel Dom\u00ednguez Molt\u00f3) dijese que no iba a continuar &#8220;<em>yo les dije que aceptada, pero por un a\u00f1o, y mira todo el tiempo que ha pasado<\/em>&#8220;, contaba entre risas en COPE ALCOY el protagonista. Segu\u00ed <strong>continu\u00f3 como alcalde<\/strong> en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os de la Dictadura de Franco, gobern\u00f3 el pueblo en la Transici\u00f3n con UCD y se mantuvo en la alcald\u00eda en la Democracia de la mano de Alianza Popular o el PP &#8220;<em>yo siempre he tenido claro que hab\u00eda que trabajar por el pueblo, atender las necesidades de mis vecinos y luchar para conseguir que un municipio de interior como el m\u00edo tire hacia adelante. Me habr\u00e9 equivocado en algunas cosas pero me quedo con lo bueno y ha sido una gran experiencia ser alcalde de Almudaina<\/em>&#8220;, afirma a pocos d\u00edas de dejar el cargo. Jos\u00e9 Lu\u00eds Segu\u00ed <strong>se siente orgulloso por todo lo que ha conseguido para la poblaci\u00f3n<\/strong> y pone como ejemplo <strong>algunos retos que se han superado en este \u00faltimo medio siglo<\/strong> &#8220;<em>conseguimos hacer nueva la red de caminos con un gran esfuerzo, mejorar las comunicaciones con los pueblos del alrededor, adecuar las calles, traer el agua potable hasta nuestras casas, crear infraestructuras como la piscina o restaurar un vestigio hist\u00f3rico como la Torre\u00a0 Almohade. Son muchos proyectos que no habr\u00edan sido posible sin el apoyo de la Diputaci\u00f3n de Alicante<\/em>&#8220;, significa. En su despedida Jos\u00e9 Lu\u00eds Segu\u00ed <strong>deja dos recados importantes<\/strong> a los futuros l\u00edderes pol\u00edticos del Comtat y de l&#8217;Alcoi\u00e0 &#8220;<em>hay que trabajar para recuperar la unidad comarcal de anta\u00f1o, porque trabajando conjuntamente podemos superar los retos que tenemos por delante, y deben intentar buscar la f\u00f3rmula para conseguir un Pol\u00edgono Industrial Mancomunado que permita a muchos trabajar aqu\u00ed as\u00ed como poder vivir en nuestros pueblos. Se debe de apostar por la agricultura o facilitarnos servicios que podamos asumir los ayuntamientos. Estas medidas ser\u00edan muy \u00fatiles para frenar la despoblaci\u00f3n que padecemos en esta zona del interior de Alicante<\/em>&#8220;, indic\u00f3 en su \u00faltima entrevista en esta casa. Y para finalizar <strong>un agradecimiento<\/strong> &#8220;<em>estar\u00e9 aqu\u00ed para lo que me necesite la nueva corporaci\u00f3n y aunque no siga en primera l\u00ednea me podr\u00e9is encontrar donde siempre. Gracias a los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n por difundir todo lo que pasa en los pueblos de la comarc<\/em>a&#8221;, concluy\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El s\u00e1bado a mediod\u00eda <strong>ser\u00e1 el pleno de constituci\u00f3n del Ayuntamiento de Almudaina<\/strong> y Jos\u00e9 Lu\u00eds Segu\u00ed entregar\u00e1, por primera vez en cincuenta a\u00f1os, la vara de mando a su sucesor. <strong>Pau Navarro<\/strong>, de 24 a\u00f1os de edad, liderar\u00e1 el Gobierno Local de la localidad a partir de ahora acompa\u00f1ado por sus cuatro ediles del Partido Popular.
