Tambi\u00e9n hemos destacado que el Gobierno Local tiene intenci\u00f3n de <strong>construir un ascensor<\/strong> para acceder al cauce del r\u00edo desde el Puente de Cervantes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Instalar un\u00a0<strong>ascensor que permita bajar al cauce del r\u00edo desde Cervantes<\/strong>. Ese es uno de los proyectos que llevar\u00e1 a cabo el\u00a0<strong>Ayuntamiento de Alcoy<\/strong>\u00a0dentro de las actuaciones para crear una\u00a0<strong>Zona de Bajas Emisiones<\/strong>\u00a0en Alcoy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El objetivo es mejorar la accesibilidad del Paseo Juana Moreno (el paseo del r\u00edo) y sus alrededores, lo que permitir\u00e1 tambi\u00e9n revitalizar la zona.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>En Cope Alcoy hemos querido salir a la calle y saber qu\u00e9 opina la ciudadan\u00eda<\/strong>\u00a0del proyecto. \u00bfConsideran que es necesario un ascensor que baje hasta el r\u00edo? Hay\u00a0<strong>gente que duda de la utilidad del ascensor<\/strong>\u00a0y cree que hay otras necesidades que deber\u00edan priorizarse. \u00abQuien va a pasear no creo que tenga problema en hacer unos metros m\u00e1s que menos\u00bb, explica una vecina. \u00abCon las necesidades que hay, me parece una tonter\u00eda. Hay otras cosas m\u00e1s urgentes, pero que hagan lo que quieran con los Fondos Europeos\u00bb, a\u00f1ade otra.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sin embargo, hay\u00a0<strong>otras personas que s\u00ed ven el lado positivo del proyecto<\/strong>. \u00abNo est\u00e1 mal teniendo en cuenta que la gente de Alcoy cada vez es m\u00e1s mayor. Nos viene muy bien\u00bb, explica un ciudadano. \u00abSi lo tiene que utilizar la gente, imagino que ser\u00e1 mejor que haya un ascensor\u00bb, opina unaotra alcoyana.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El proyecto estar\u00e1\u00a0<strong>subvencionado al 100% por Fondos Europeos<\/strong>. Y es que el Consistorio ha recibido una nueva subvenci\u00f3n. Esta vez, de dos millones de euros. Adem\u00e1s del ascensor, con este dinero se llevar\u00e1n a cabo otras actuaciones. Por un lado,\u00a0<strong>reurbanizar el acceso oeste por Batoy y su conexi\u00f3n con Santa Rosa a trav\u00e9s de un carril bici<\/strong>. Tambi\u00e9n se pretende\u00a0<strong>mejorar la accesibilidad en tres calles de la zona peatonal del Centro<\/strong>\u00a0(Joan Cant\u00f3, Diego Fern\u00e1ndez Monta\u00f1\u00e9s i Bartolom\u00e9 J. Gallardo.) y\u00a0<strong>crear una red de aparcamientos vigilados para bicicletas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Proyecto de instalar un ascensor para bajar al r\u00edo ya hubo uno en 2006, durante el Gobierno local de\u00a0<strong>Jorge Sedano<\/strong>\u00a0(Partido Popular). El objetivo, en este caso, era crear un ascensor panor\u00e1mico desde el puente de San Jorge.
