El alcalde de Cocentaina, Rafael Briet, ha explicado hoy en La Ma\u00f1ana de Cope Alcoy que los trabajos se hab\u00edan detenido debido a que Fomento ha obligado a modificar el proyecto inicial para garantizar la seguridad de los viandantes. Briet ha se\u00f1alado en este sentido que se hab\u00eda previsto un paso de cebra a la salida de la rotonda de la Creu de Valencia para que los peatones pudieran cruzar hasta el citado acceso hasta l&#8217; Alcudia o viceversa; y ha apuntado que la idea se ha desestimado &#8220;porque los t\u00e9cnicos de Fomento han considerado que esto pod\u00eda suponer un importante riesgo para las personas que atravesaran la carretera&#8221;, explica.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El primer edil contestano destaca que tanto la Diputaci\u00f3n como Fomento han mantenido varias reuniones en las \u00faltimas semanas para alcanzar un acuerdo &#8220;y la soluci\u00f3n acordada es habilitar este paso de peatones finalmente, pero unos metros m\u00e1s abajo de donde se hab\u00eda previsto&#8221;, aclara.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Recordar que las obras del acceso peatonal a l&#8217; Alcudia han sido muy demandadas por los vecinos de esta pedan\u00eda que reclamaban una v\u00eda segura que conectara con la Villa Condal.
